Costume Design

On a fundamental level theatre is about design.

With this in mind I would like you to follow the link below to one of the best costume resources on the web.

With any character in mind I would like you to locate an appropriate piece of costume for the character.
 
Post the link to the page which contains that piece of costume.

    I had to go and research for this website my self because i could find something opropriate from the website you gave me for part of the costume.

    I chose this costume because its very naturalistic for the suroundeds around her with the greens and they reds to symbolise berrys and leaves and trees

    A Greek goddess costume.
    This costume is very elegant and potrays greatness . It has a gold Greek embelishment which i think signifies a womanly figure of wearing shiny ornaments to present themselves. The design shows a style of maturity as it is not too revealing, it would look perfect for a character such as Helena. As she is likes to wear nice things this is a good option for her character.

    I choose the character Titania.

    I found the website confusing so decided to reasearch myself too.

    I have chosesn fairy wings in black as i think white would have been too angelic for Titania, by having them black I think it would show her passion and that she is different from your usual straight laced fairy.

    I picked the character Bottom.

    I also dound a different website of my own because i couldnt find anything on the one given.

    The costume piece i chose was donkey ears. This is relevent as Bottom gets a spell put on him and it is to show that he has certian qualities of a donkey.

    I didn't really got the given website but I searched on the internet and found a page with something about a ballet thingy(which was just calledthe dream but also with an charcter called oberon) with a picture how I imagined Oberon;

    The costume is more like green and as the picture of this actor shows, with some leaves on the costume and and not like a proper crown but something on the head like on that picture.

    i think that puck or any of the fairys should go along with this theme ^ but make the costume a lot more masulin. using masculine colours and hat, shoes etc.

    I know this is for a child, but it would make a great dress for someone older too. I think it would suit Hermia down to the ground because as her character is sweet, innocent and in love, I imagined a floaty pink/pastelly coloured costume for her. I also like the idea of sticking with the traditional ancient greek type of dress as its style was modest enough to suit Hermia's character. I think it will be mental to give them neon legwarmers or stuff like that. That's just wrong-unless we're performing this in front of...year 5s? That's just my opinion :)

    I chose this fancy dress costume for bottom as it is a donkey but also would be very effective and funyn for the audience to look at. It is not a whole donkey costume but this would make it a lot funnier as he can control the horse himself with his feet and hands.
